NAALAAR
"the Interactive Pavilion"

A hands-on hub for sensory and motor exploration

Challenge

the Socio-Spatial Deficit

The primary challenge is to address the deficit in social and emotional skills among children aged 3-10 , an issue exacerbated by gadget addiction and social disintegration in urban environments. This is compounded by the lack of quality third spaces and insufficient play areas within dense residential locations like Mojosongo.

the Process

This process begins with the identification of the issue, namely learning delays, which is broken down into local problems such as gadget addiction and a lack of social skills. The unique MaDiLog (Materialism, Dialectics, Logic) framework is used to transform the playground into an "active learning space". This concept is realized through three specific zones: the Materialism Zone ("Create & Manage") for sensory creation, the Dialectics Zone ("Interactive Orchestra") for musical collaboration, and the Logic Zone ("Cause & Effect") to practice understanding causality. The result is NAALAAR , a semi-open educational pavilion that functions as an interactive learning laboratory and a micro-community center for children. The design serves as a "hands-on hub for sensory and motor exploration" by applying the MaDiLog (Materialism, Dialectics, Logic) framework to create an active, tangible learning space. Through play in this park, children can explore ideas, test social boundaries , and develop critical social-emotional skills and cognitive abilities.
